FEBRUARY 2012.

 Well, the start of 2012!  How exciting, what will this new year bring for you?  A few minutes on the phone may be all that you need to point you in the right direction.

In spite of all the doom and gloom predicted by the powers that be, we here at Pentacles, believe that positive thought produces positive reaction.  If there is something left over from the last year you need to deal with, do that now to enable fresh opportunities to present themselves.  Whether that be a relationship that has not been working for sometime and you need to move on from it, a job that has become dull and routine and you need a fresh, new challenge or it could be that you had been procrastinating about moving house?  If any of this strikes a chord with you, ring one of our clairvoyants for guidance on the right path for 2012.

We get asked a lot about "Soulmates" so have decided at this, the beginning of a new year, to share some knowledge of this term.

The term "soulmate" is one often used but not always understood.  Soulmate relationships can cause a lot of confusion and sometimes a lot of pain.  There is an assumption of the part of many people that a soulmate relationship carries with it  a guarantee of future happiness, which sadly is far from being the case.

So what exactly is a "soulmate relationship"?  If you look at your present life, you have relationships with many people.  You have parents, siblings, neighbours, friends, workmates and perhaps romantic partners and children.  This has also been the case in your previous lives - you have had many relationships with many different people, some happy, some not.  Where there has been unfinished business between individuals they may return in a future life to complete it.  Or they may make a committment to each other to return and to see each other again in a future life or lives.

Where the unfinished business has been of an unpleasant nature this past karma is brought into the next life to be resolved.  It accounts for the fact that some people take an instant and apparently irrational dislike to each other and for the fact that two people who on the face of it appear perfect for each other may fall out for seemingly trivial reasons.  Quarrels may erupt for no apparent reason with feelings being exaggerated out of all proportion to the existing circumstances.

Similarily, we are not always meant to work out a soul mate relationship in the present lifetime if it will generate more bad karma than good.  In this instance, the spiritually correct solution is to acknowledge the connection but to leave the working out of the relationship until another lifetime.

Some of the signs that may help to identify a soulmate relationship are meeting under very unusual circumstances - as if "fate has somehow brought you together".  You may feel that you have known each other before.  These signs are there to alert you to the fact that something unusual is going on.  It may help you to identify the lesson you failed to learn previously.  Failure to learn it means repeating it endlessly until you finally "get" it.

I hope this clarifies some of the obscurities around "soulmates".
